The river is less than a kilometer long, but falls more than 100 meters between Los Cántaros and Nahuel Huapi lakes, forming the waterfall. The waterfall is located at 852 meters above sea level and freezes in certain periods of the winter season. It is accessed through a path with three viewpoints. The waterfall is surrounded by an exuberant Valdivian forest, characterized by a great variety of plant species. Located very close to the border with Chile, it is in an area of high rainfall.
