Río Limay

Río Limay

It is an important watercourse in the Argentinean Patagonia. Its name comes from "Mapuche" origin, meaning "transparent" or "limpid".
The Limay River rises at the eastern end of the Nahuel Huapi Lake and meanders for about 500 km in a northeastern direction, adding tributaries such as the Traful, Pichileufú, Collón Curá and Picún Leufú Rivers, until it meets the Neuquén River, forming the Negro River at its confluence.
